Each year, Coats For Kids gathers hundreds of followers for a heart felt event. Hundreds of car owners bring cars from all over the state of Utah to one place, Bountiful Park. Coats for Kids is an organization that collects donations, and distributes coats to children all over who may otherwise not have a coat to get them through the winter. Our very own Bryce and Brian brought their families to the show, to share in the love for everything automotive. Full episodes coming soon!
More about the cause.
Coats for Kids Foundation, established in 2004 in Alexandria, VA has been a long time partner of Operation Warm, Inc. Founded on similar principles, both organizations have made it their mission to provide new winter coats to children in need. Our shared vision of ensuring every child wearing a new winter coat is healthy, able to attend school regularly and has a strong self-esteem is why Coats For Kids Foundation and Operation Warm, Inc. have united with a goal of serving at-risk children throughout the United States.
After distributing more than 38,000 new winter coats from 2004 to 2011, Coats for Kids Foundation founders retired. They reached out to Operation Warm so the their legacy could continue. Their profound impact on children in the Washington D.C region has been remarkable. Together, in the winter of 2014/2015, Coats for Kids Foundation and Operation Warm reached more than 5,000 children within the National Capital Area, and over 300,000 children throughout the country.
Within the National Capital Area, children will continue to be served through Coats for Kids Foundation. Our efforts have been expanded with the help of Operation Warm, who similarly provides brand-new coats to children in need in this local area. Across the United States, Operation Warm runs one of the largest coats for kids programs in the country, providing new coats nationwide.
Our commitment to high quality coats and impeccable customer service will not be sacrificed as we continue to work with our partners across the country. Better yet, we are thrilled about the potential growth opportunities that will result from the union between Coats For Kids Foundation and Operation Warm, Inc. Learn more at www.operationwarm.org.
