Engagement photos are a great change to take a photo that captures the emotions of this momentous part of your life. Take control of your photoshoot arrangements, be confident, and show off your diamond engagement rings with pride! These photos will show just the beginning of what’s to come as you go on your wedding journey.
Today’s photoshoot is with Kaylee & Andrew. With their wedding coming up in July, they really wanted to get the perfect engagement photos for their invitations. When we arrived at the Utah State Capitol, we weren’t sure if the cherry blossoms were blooming quite yet, but oh boy were we in for a treat! It was just after Conference had completed at the Utah Temple and droves of people were flooding to the Capitol grounds to walk around and take photos with family and friends. We started off with their fur baby (sorry, their doggy woggy) and got some real gems, but it didn’t take long for the 8-month-old puppy to get overwhelmed by the other dogs and endless people. He wanted to play, but we were doing everything we could do to keep him still and he wasn’t excited about that.
As the sun moved toward the western sky, we made our way to the perfect spot to get a beautiful sunset photo that the couple will surely never forget. I am absolutely in love with these photos and would LOVE to do a similar shoot again with another couple. If you are getting married and need some engagements, or a wedding photographer I would love to be your guy!
I love shooting engagements because it gives me a chance to break down the walls of awkwardness with a couple before their wedding day. Not every couple hires us to shoot their engagements but it is so worth it!
