Memorial House at Memory Grove Park Wedding Salt Lake City | Fatima + Matt
Fatima and Matt met 8 years ago, little did they know they’d be walking down the aisle in the stunning Memory Grove park in Salt Lake City on a cool summer morning. They have packed their bags many times as they traveled the globe, but as they packed their bags one last time as single folks, they left the single life behind and united two wonderful families. The Bride asked for encouragement in an as she attempted to maintain composure on her way to meet her soon to be husband on the lawn at Memory Grove where family and friends from all over the world came to witness the special occasion.
The morning was unseasonably cool, it couldn’t have been more than 80 degrees by the time we finished up around 1. They simply could have not chosen a better day to tie the knot.
A truly touching moment as Fatima’s father walked her down the aisle, I think that may have been the longest walk of her life. As both the Bride and Groom wrote beautiful vows to each other, there wasn’t a dry eye in attendance.
The first time I met Fatima was the morning of the wedding. She had booked us for both photography and videography for the wedding day. As I walked in and introduced myself for the first time, I reached out my hand to shake hers. “You’re not a hugger?” she exclaimed. We had spoken over the phone, but never in person, but that wasn’t going to stop her from treating me like family. I of course gave her a hug and then we got to work. It was so amazing, she had no idea that the colors of the room would go so well with her blue Nikah dress. I was sad that we couldn’t stick around to take more pictures of the bride and the bridesmaids as they finished getting ready, but we had to run to the venue to meet the Groom and all of his men before the ceremony.
After the couple shared marital vows in a beautiful ceremony in Memory Grove, we traveled to The Falls Event Center in Salt Lake City for a traditional Nikah Ceremony where the couple fused both of their families together in a spiritual ceremony.
The couple was practically glued to the dance floor. Fatima’s brother even wheeled their mother to the dance floor in her wheelchair where they danced some more.
Below are just a few pictures from the memorable wedding day, can’t wait to edit some more in the future! Also attached is a quick teaser video.
