Jordan Pines Engagement Photo Shoot with Liz and Tyler
Liz and Tyler’s wedding is coming up in May, and they’ve been dreaming of having a beautiful wintery engagement photo shoot, I think we accomplished that today. The location, Jordan Pines Campground which is located about 20 minutes up Big Cottonwood canyon. It was simply stunning from the street, but when we arrived, we were nervous that we might not be able to find a spot to take pictures due to there being 10 feet of snow!
Not kidding, it was literally 10 feet of snow. Luckily someone had carved out a little area where you could climb UP the embankment and on to the top of the massive later of snow. We huffed and puffed, and slid and sank knee deep (and farther) into the snow, but it was well worth the views once we got to the top.
Liz and Tyler are a silly, fun loving couple who really love to make each other laugh. Although the temperatures were freezing, they hung on to their smiles for the duration of the shoot.
Just as we were leaving, I prepped them for one final shot which would require them to be in the middle of the road. I’m pretty sure they thought I was kidding, until they saw me run out into the road too, and what a beautiful photo it was.
I can’t wait to shoot Liz’s Bridal portraits here in a couple weeks, it will hopefully be a little bit less snowy, but just as beautiful. Here are a few of my favorite favorite photos from my first official engagement shoot for the 2019 wedding season.
