Highland Gardens Wedding | Brooke + Dustin
Brooke and Dustin FINALLY tied the knot! It has been excruciating not being able to share her pictures, they turned out so beautiful! We went out early one morning (2:30am early) to the Salt Flats for her Bridal photography shoot and it was so worth it.
Brooke and Dustin are a very different couple. Serious is not in their vocabulary. She may kill me for blogging about this, but today, her wedding cake was delivered as the Leaning Tower of Wedding Cake. Most brides would have probably screamed, and maybe hit something or somebody, she shrugged her shoulders and went on with her day. The temperature was SO hot today that the buttercream frosting and all of the layers in between had softened to the point that the cake had fallen. It was repaired, and the show went on.
During the family portraits portion of the evening, the Groomsmen were hard at it to hit each other and shout out random jokes in an attempt to get a reaction. Even Dustin’s dad joined in the fun, what an amazing family that loves to laugh and have a good time. It was a little toasty in the venue, but that didn’t stop the groomsmen from having a mosh pit. Rather than having a typical slow dance for their first dance, the couple danced a more upbeat song so they could be themselves, and instead of a typical Daddy Daughter dance, Brooke’s dad had a video made with pictures from Brooke as she grew up. It was such a touching moment to see the two hold each other, while shedding tears of joy together as they took in the moment. I am so glad to have taken part in such a special day for the newlyweds, they will be spending their honeymoon in Disneyland! Dustin even had Mickey Mouse cuff-links.
The Groom’s father mentioned during his speech that he had heard from countless people that Jamee (the Bride’s mother) was their “Best Friend”. I have to say, after spending some time with her and her wonderful family, I can see how true that could be. Both sides of the family were so kindhearted, sweet, and full of jokes. If the newlywed couple is anything like the rest of the bunch, they’re both in for a real treat for the rest of their lives! For Brooke and Dustin’s wedding, my team did their Photography and Videography, below are some of my favorite images along with their wedding film.

Did Dustin lose a ring? Someone posted in a lost and found forum and the engraving inside the ring says “Dustin and Brooke”.
