This couple was seriously one of the most fun couples I have ever had the privilege of working with. I can’t lie, I was a bit nervous when they took a little bit longer than the other couples, I wondered for a minute if we were at the right Temple. As they exited the Temple to greet their family, there was all sorts of fun craziness happening! The groomsmen picked up Cameron and launched him a few feet in the air at one point. This couple is surrounded by lots and lots of people who love them dearly, it was so obvious that they affect other lives in so many ways. Most couples spend all of 2-3 minutes greeting their family immediately after they left the doors, but I am pretty sure we spent 20 minutes or so giving warm hugs and well wishes. It was a challenge to get them over to the Temple steps for family formals, but not in a negative way. It was such a beautiful day, weather in the high seventies, just warm enough to keep you moving but not enough to melt your makeup off.
After family formal photos, the family was dismissed so we could spend some time with the Bride and Groom shooting photo and video about the Temple grounds. It wasn’t long before we realized that the key to the Bride’s locker had seemingly been misplaced. It could have ended in catastrophic meltdown, but Shaylee kept her cool and eventually found the key so all was well. The couple was fortunate enough to have landed a Chevy Bel Air as their getaway car, such a beautiful ride! The reception was filled with laughter, upbeat dancing, splits, and don’t forget the Italian Cream Soda bar! As a Wedding Videographer and Photographer I do get to work with some of the best couples on the planet. I don’t book with every couple, I turn away a fair amount of business while seeking my perfect clients, and this couple was something special.
It was such a treat to experience Cameron stepping up and playing the part of Dad to Shaylee’s beautiful charismatic daughter. As they danced the night away, I think he even shed a tear or two. It was such a special day for all those involved, I feel so lucky to have taken part in this amazing day. As they ran through their sparkler sendoff, slapping high fives all along the way while their toilet paper decorated chariot awaited, little did anyone know, Cameron had a plan of his own, have someone drive away the decorated car so they could have their getaway drive whisk them away to their honeymoon. Check out their teaser below!! I included a few images, but since I was shooting as their Videographer I didn’t get a chance to shoot a lot of photos.
