Amanda and Bracken are such a wonderful couple, both coming from such strongly religuous families that have strong traditional values. The couple was united for Time and All Eternity at the Draper Utah Temple, after which they were joined by countless family and friends at the Alpine Art Center for their reception.
The adorable couple met a while back to shoot their engagements. It was raining that day so we opted to shoot the bulk of our photos indoors at the Utah State Capitol. During the busy Finals week Amanda had a sliver of time to meet for her Bridals. Yet again, the rain was coming down, so we opted to shoot indoors again.
On their wedding day, on the way to the Temple, while on the phone my other line rang, it was Amanda’s mother. They were trying to make a contingency plan as it was raining, and it seemed that we would not be able to shoot their family pictures outdoors. Rather than letting it get them down, the couple brought umbrellas so everyone would be comfortable. They were such a great example. So many fun things happening all over, lots of little kiddos, lots of piano playing.
It is said that if it rains on your wedding day, it’s good luck. If that’s true, what does that say about the fact that each of the 3 times I met with the family to take pictures, it was raining?
I am so happy to have gotten to witness such a splendid day with two amazing families.
